Aaron Schumaker

Position: Co-Founder & Chairman of Frontpoint

Aaron is the Co-Founder & Chairman of Frontpoint.

Aaron grew up in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan and lived there until high school, when he ventured to New Hampshire for boarding school at Phillips Exeter.

While growing up, Aaron played competitive junior tennis laying claim to having beaten Andy Roddick in a game of tennis (well, a few games, but Andy still took the match!). After high school, Aaron went to Georgetown University, where his entrepreneurial spirit grew in earnest.

As a freshman,Aaron became enamored with the Georgetown student credit union, where he and 150 of his fellow undergrads ran a full service bank sans adult supervision – it was there, that Aaron discovered his passion for building things, breaking them, and learning the art of putting them back together much better than they were originally found (well, at least some of the time).

After Georgetown,Aaron went on to work at Goldman Sachs in NewYork City, where he spent a few years as an investment banker in the leveraged finance group. Unable to shake his passion for entrepreneurship, Aaron and his best friend Chris, spent a good amount of their spare time dreaming up what they might one day start. 2 years later, that something turned into a sketch on a piece of paper that would eventually become Frontpoint, a DIY home security company that serves customers in the US & Canada.

13 years, lots of late nights, board meetings and pizza boxes later, Frontpoint is alive and well as one of the country’s largest home security companies, where Aaron now serves as Co-Founder & Chairman.

Aaron currently resides in Washington, DC and with his free time, he enjoys spending it with his family, traveling, hitting the gym, being outdoors, playing any sport with a racquet, enjoying a glass of wine, and reading a great book!
